Film: Tell Me a Beautiful World

Bad things happen, but so do good things – this seems to be the message of this contemporary Chinese melodrama set in Sichuan Province. The film begins with the death of a blind man's mother, which forces him to learn how take care of his 11-year-old daughter. Working as a shoeshiner with his child, he begins to recall his days as a young man and the story of meeting his daughter's alluring mother.
