Local Gov't Criticized for Linking Blood Donations to Middle School Test
(Beijing) – A local government's move to encourage blood donations has sparked online discussion over whether it is fair and ethical.
Pujiang, a county in the eastern province of Zhejiang, started a policy in August that grants blood donors a range of benefits, including giving their children extra bonus marks on the highly competitive zhongkao, or middle-school entrance exam.
