Eight Killed and 18 Injured in Riot in Kunming Suburb, Local Gov't Says

(Kunming) – Eight people died in a fight between workers at a construction site and villagers in a suburb of the southwestern city of Kunming on October 14, a local government has said.

The government of Jinning County said on its account on Sina Weibo, the country's version of Twitter, on October 15 that a conflict between workers and residents of Fuyou Village broke out at the site of a trading and logistics center being built.
