Lenovo Completes US$ 2.91 Bln Deal to Buy Motorola Mobility

(Beijing) – Lenovo Group finished a deal with U.S. technology company Google Inc. for the purchase of Motorola Mobility, the Chinese firm said on October 30.

Lenovo paid Google a total of US$ 2.91 billion – US$ 660 million cash and 519 million shares.

Lenovo announced the deal on January 29. The purchase will give Lenovo the Motorola Mobility brand, 2,000 patents, a range of smartphone models and partnerships with more than 50 telecom operators around the world.
