Alibaba Says It Handled 1,000 Cases of IP Infringement in First Three Quarters

(Beijing) – Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. says it cooperated with law enforcement on 1,000 cases of intellectual property infringement involving 600 million yuan worth of goods in first three quarters of this year.

The e-commerce giant severed around 6 million links to Web pages selling counterfeit products on its popular Taobao, Tmall, AliExpress and Alibaba.com sites, Shao Xiaofeng, Alibaba's chief risk officer, said on December 23.
