Proposals for Changing Legislation Law Have Been Watered Down, Experts Say

(Beijing) – Proposed changes to China's law covering how legislation and regulations are enacted have been watered down, a member of the National People's Congress says, and a professor says the amendments are too vague.
NPC deputies started gathering on March 5 in the capital for the annual meeting of the legislature, and on March 8 they started deliberating on an amendment to the legislation law. The amendment has been reviewed twice by the NPC Standing Committee, which runs the legislature between full meetings, in August and December.
