Car-Hire Industry Watches Court Hearing on Driver's 20,000 Yuan Fine

(Beijing) – A district court in Jinan, in the eastern province of Shandong, held a hearing for a case that could have a major impact on the car-hire industry in China.
At the hearing on April 15, a driver named Chen Chao asked the Shizhong District People's Court to throw out a 20,000 yuan fine he was handed by the city's public transport administration for providing a car-hiring service. The court did not make a ruling after the one-day hearing.
