In Hong Kong Policeman, Chris Emmet tells the story of his arrival and life in The Royal Hong Kong Police Force after a stint as a bobby on the beat in Warrington, Merseyside in the UK. The book, subtitled "Law, Life and Death on the Streets of Hong Kong: An English Police Inspector Tells It as It Was," is the most recent of a number that chronicle the experience of a Western inspector in the HK Police Force, but I feel that this one has more veracity and integrity than most.
