(Beijing) – Flipping on home lights and checking the fridge for leftovers long before opening the front door soon may be what any working stiff can do after a long day on the job.

Systems for remotely controlling lights, appliances and other devices from outside a home are growing in a consumer electronics niche that business leaders say is about to take off in China – and perhaps give Chinese companies new access to overseas markets.
