Early Caixin Manufacturing PMI for July at 48.2 Points

(Beijing) – Manufacturing activities continued to decline in July, as the preliminary Caixin China Purchasing Managers' Index hit a 15-month low at 48.2 points.

This is the first PMI figure published since Caixin took over the sponsorship of Markit's China PMI from HSBC, which held the rights for five years.

The final PMI for the sector in June was 49.4, which signaled a less severe contraction.
