Hanergy Announces Plan to Lay Off 2,000 Employees as Revenue Falls

(Beijing) – A Hong Kong-listed solar equipment manufacturer that is being investigated by a securities regulator says it plans to lay off some 2,000 workers across the country after revenue declined in the first half of the year.

Hanergy Thin Film Power Group Ltd. said in a financial report published on August 28 that employees from its headquarters down to local branches would be affected.
