Two-Child Policy Won't Bring Desired Baby Boom, Experts Say

(Beijing) – The government's recent decision to drop its one-child policy is intended to give the population a boost, but experts say that won't happen unless other supporting policies are put in place.
Wang Peian, deputy head of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, touted the two-child policy by saying it "will add over 30 million people to the labor force by 2050, creating a stable population needed for economic growth."
