Railroad Retirees Protest in Harbin over Pension Payments

(Beijing) – More than 1,000 current and retired employees of the railroad system in the northeastern city of Harbin protested for two days over what they say are low pension payouts and missing benefits.
The retirees and workers in their 50s gathered in front of the Harbin Railway Bureau on January 25 and 26, holding banners and placards that displayed the names of their employers, all subsidiaries of the railway bureau.
