More Insiders Said to Be Linked to Agricultural Bank Scandal

(Beijing) – More employees at the Beijing branch of the Agricultural Bank of China have been linked to the disappearance of some 4 billion yuan worth of bills of exchange that police have been investigating, several people close to the situation say.
The country's third-largest lender by assets said on January 22 it had found a "major risk hazard" regarding bills worth 3.9 billion yuan that were kept at its Beijing branch and said the police had started an inquiry. It did not provide any other details.
