U.S. Treasury Secretary Calls for Coordinated Action to Boost Demand

(Beijing) – U.S. Secretary of Treasury Jack Lew has called on other major economies around the world to stimulate demand with structural reforms and fiscal policies as well as monetary tools.

"United States is doing well, and it is generating demand, but it cannot generate sufficient demand to be the consumer of the first and last resort all over the world," he told Caixin on February 29 in Beijing.
