Dongfeng Nissan Executives Took Bribes via Shell Company Run by Wives, Prosecutors Say

(Guangzhou) - The head of Nissan Motor Co.'s joint venture in China and eight other senior executives of the company asked a car dealer to funnel millions of yuan in bribes into a shell company controlled by their wives, court documents from an ongoing graft trial shows.
The trial of Guo Jinhua, accused of giving 19.2 million yuan in bribes between 2002 and 2005 to Ren Yong, a deputy general manager of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co., started at a court in the southern province of Guangzhou on June 3.
