CIMC Snaps Up One of Britain's Largest Trailer Manufacturers

(Beijing) – A subsidiary of China's largest container maker by annual output, China International Marine Containers Group Co. Ltd., purchased a major British semi-trailer maker for 91.7 million pounds, as part of a push to expand abroad.

CIMC Vehicles Group Co. Ltd., the trailer manufacturing unit of CIMC, recently completed its acquisition of Retlan Manufacturing Ltd., the biggest deal in the global trailer industry in the last decade, the holding company said in a statement on June 29.
