Ex-SAFE Spokesman Joins Private Zhongzhi Enterprise Group

(Beijing) – A spokesperson for the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, Wang Yungui, has resigned to join private industry as executive vice president of human resources and legal affairs for investment conglomerate Zhongzhi Enterprise Group. Wang, who is in his early 40s, started at SAFE in 2005 and has worked in various departments. Before he left, he was also head of the General Affairs Department (Policy and Regulation Department) at SAFE. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Nankai University in Tianjin.
