CSRC Dissolves Department for Innovative Business Supervision

(Beijing) – The China Securities Regulatory Commission has dissolved a two-and-half-year old Department of Innovative Business Supervision, whose main responsibilities involved researching capital market development, advising policymakers on regulatory issues regarding new financial products and pilot programs, and overseeing crowd-funding equity investments. All personnel originally in the department had been reassigned to other departments or institutions affiliated with the CSRC, according to sources close to the matter.
