Chinese Flights Ban 'Exploding' Samsung Phones

(Beijing) —The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is banning the use and charging of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones on board flights after reports worldwide that the cellphone's batteries can explode while charging.

CAAC’s announcement came after several Chinese carriers, including Hainan Airlines, have prohibited cabin crew from carrying a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on board.
