Chart: Baidu’s Profit Surges

Chinese search giant Baidu Inc. kicked off the second-quarter earnings season for major tech firms by reporting its net profit jumped 45% year-on-year to $967 million. It reported revenue of $3.93 billion, which rose 32% year-on-year.

Baidu Chairman and CEO Robin Li said that growth was “driven by AI powered monetization capabilities.”
