Luxury outerwear brand Canada Goose is delaying the opening of its Beijing flagship store, citing “ongoing construction,” the South China Morning Post reports.
The store, the Canadian brand’s first in the country, was originally set to open Saturday in the Chinese capital’s fashionable Sanlitun area.
Canada Goose, popular among wealthy Chinese, has seen its stock price slump amid social media calls to boycott the brand after the recent arrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou in Canada.
