Greek Businessmen to Take Part in SPIEF 2019

A large delegation of Greek businessmen will take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on 6–8 June, Dimitrios Velanis, a special adviser to the Greek Prime Minister on relations with Russia and Eastern Europe, said in an interview with the Russian media on the sidelines of a meeting of the Russian-Greek Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation in Thessaloniki.

Velanis said the Greek exhibition organization HELEXPO had signed a contract with the Roscongress Foundation for “specific cooperation and the preparation of business for such events as the forum in St. Petersburg and the international exhibition in Thessaloniki in September 2019 with the participation of Russian companies”. He noted that the contract between HELEXPO and Roscongress has enabled business to better prepare for these events. “This was greatly facilitated by the management of Roscongress, which helped organize this work both in Thessaloniki and in St. Petersburg. So this year we are preparing a group of businessmen jointly with HELEXPO who will take part [in the SPIEF] with the aim of developing specific cooperation. And we hope that they will sign a few agreements in St. Petersburg”, Velanis said.
