SPIEF 2019 Plenary Session to Take Place on 7 June
The main event of the Forum will be a plenary session, which will feature speeches by Vladimir Putin, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and Prime Minister of Slovakia
Peter Pellegrini. António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, will take part in the SPIEF plenary session.
The session will be moderated by journalist and TV anchor Sophie Shevardnadze.
The main topic of this year’s Forum is ‘Creating a Sustainable Development Agenda’. Transformation of international economic alliances, a growing social inequality, unstable trade and political relations continue to have an impact on global economy. This is why the current condition of the economy and the outlook for its sustainable development are particularly relevant. Sustainable development is also essential for preservation of the environment, rational use of natural resources and meeting today’s needs at no cost to future generations.
The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions, exhibitions, and public events.
