China Says Talks With U.S. on Trade Deal Will Take Place ‘Soon’

(Bloomberg) — China and the U.S. have agreed to have a call soon to discuss the progress of their trade deal, according to the commerce ministry in Beijing.
The two nations will be in touch in the near term, spokesman Gao Feng said Beijing Thursday when answering a question about if the meeting to review the progress on the phase one trade agreement will happen. Gao didn’t announce an exact date, or elaborate further.
The two sides had been expected to talk this past weekend as a review was scheduled six months since the trade deal went into effect.
