7. Supermarket in Foshan lockdown area fined for raising prices

The store raised the prices of some vegetables from around 8 yuan per 500 grams to about 20 yuan during the epidemic. The merchant will face a penalty of 100,000 yuan.

8. Fourteen people arrested over cheating on college entrance examination

During this year’s general college entrance exam, two test centers, the Nanchang Institute of Technology and the Jiangxi College of Engineering, were found (external source, in Chinese) to have “serious cheating” incidents. 10. Experts predict confirmed cases in Guangzhou will be cleared by June 20

Guangzhou reported 131 cases of Covid-19 infection (external source, in Chinese) between May 21 and June 10 in the current flare-up. Ma Wenjun, the chief expert at the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control, believes that a conservative estimate of the size of the epidemic should be within 180 cases, which should be cleared by June 20.
