Yunnan province to bolster EV battery industry

According to local media reports, provincial leaders in Southwest China’s Yunnan are working on guidelines to foster an electric-vehicle battery industrial chain including raw material production and battery recycling. The province’s production capacity for lithium-ion phosphate batteries reached 120,000 tons in the first half, more than double that of last year, accounting for 21% of national capacity.
