China and Russia Should Take ‘More Joint Actions’ to Ensure Their Security, Xi Tells Putin

China and Russia should carry out “more joint actions” to safeguard both sides’ security interests, President Xi Jinping told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin Wednesday.

Xi said “certain forces in the world are trying to meddle in the internal affairs of China and Russia under the pretext of ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights,” according to a statement issued by the Chinese foreign ministry after the virtual summit.
