World Economic Forum Puts Off Davos Event Until Summer

What’s new: The World Economic Forum postponed its annual gathering of world leaders and business executives to early summer in light of continued uncertainty over the omicron outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Davos, Switzerland, event was scheduled to take Jan. 17–21. The organizers didn’t specify new meeting dates. The omicron variant has been spreading rapidly worldwide, prompting travel restrictions involving many countries.
