China’s chip output up one-third

China produced 359.4 billion integrated circuits in 2021, up 33.3% year-on-year, according to statistics provided on Monday by China’s National Bureau of Statistics, as Beijing pushes for self-sufficiency in chip manufacturing amid a tech war with Washington. The government agency did not publish a breakdown by manufacturing technology.
