On the eve of the Beijing Winter Olympics, nearly two dozen new Covid-19 cases have been found among participants, taking the overall tally among those involved in the Games since Jan. 23 to more than 300.

A total of 21 Games-related personnel, including nine athletes and team officials, tested positive on Thursday after landing in Beijing or entering the “closed loop” management system, according to a Friday statement (link in Chinese) from the Beijing 2022 organizing committee.
