Phone chip designer Unisoc boots chairman

Unisoc Shanghai Technologies Co. Ltd., the smartphone chip design subsidiary of troubled chipmaker Tsinghua Unigroup, has ousted its high-profile chairman Zhao Weiguo.

The management shakeup comes a month after Tsinghua Unigroup won backing from creditors and shareholders to advance a restructuring plan.
