Didi backflips on Russian exit
Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing on Saturday reversed a decision to cease operations in Russia, which faces multiple sanctions amid international condemnation of its invasion of Ukraine.
“Didi Chuxing will not shut down its operations in Russia. We will continue to operate in Russia and serve the country’s drivers and passengers,” the firm said in a post published on social media platform Weibo. Didi entered Russia’s ride-hailing market in August 2020.
