Two Sessions: China Sets 2022 GDP Growth Target at Around 5.5%

China has set the target for 2022 GDP growth at around 5.5%, Premier Li Keqiang said Saturday.
The goal, Li announced in the government work report delivered to the annual session of the country’s top legislature, is lower than last year’s “above 6%” target and 8.1% actual growth.
The report also includes other projections for economic development this year:
— Consumer price index growth of around 3% (unchanged from the 2021 projection)
