Hong Kong Can Return to Normalcy by July If ‘Barrier of Immunity’ Is Built, Government Advisor Says


Hong Kong can lift Covid-19 restrictions and return to normalcy before July if the city can quickly establish a “barrier of immunity” among the public, a prominent microbiologist and advisor to the city government told Caixin.

A “barrier of immunity” against the virus will be built after each eligible Hong Kong resident receives at least two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine or three doses of China’s Sinovac inactivated vaccine, Yuen Kwok-yung said during an interview with Caixin on Friday.
