Shanghai health authorities have come under fire online for separating infant Covid-19 patients from their parents as the city wrestles with its worst outbreak since the start of the pandemic.

Images and videos posted on Chinese social media sites Friday showed dozens of infants hospitalized in crowded wards and hallways, without their parents being seen.
