BYD Stops Making Fossil-Fuel Powered Cars, Goes Fully Electric

Shenzhen-based BYD Co. Ltd. (002594.SZ) has stopped the production of fossil-fueled vehicles since March, as the automaker shifts gears to go all-out on electric vehicles (EVs) amid China’s green ambitions.
In a tweet, the Warren Buffet-backed automaker said the decision makes it “the first automotive manufacturer in the world to stop the production of fuel combusting vehicles.”
