Shanghai Port Tightens Container Truck Rules Amid Covid Surge

Shanghai is further tightening its closed-loop management of container trucks entering and leaving the world’s largest container shipping port amid a worsening Covid-19 flare-up as international shippers reported significant disruptions from a shortage of truckers.

Eight new cases were reported in the neighboring city of Ningbo involving road transportation workers, including container truck drivers, freight drivers and highway service station staff.
