Soft ban on new video games ends

The Chinese government has resumed licensing new video games, ending a months-long hiatus which ratcheted up the pressure on tech firms exposed to the sector.

The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) on Monday published a new list of 45 approved titles from companies including Baidu Inc., XD Inc., Yoozoo Games Co. Ltd. and iDreamSky Technology Holdings Ltd.
