Shanghai Dealerships Sold No Cars Last Month, Trade Group Says

Vehicle sales in Shanghai came to a standstill last month as dealerships were shut amid a citywide lockdown, according to a trade group.

“April’s Covid outbreak caused severe damage to the Shanghai auto market, as almost every car dealer in the city halted operation,” the Shanghai Automobile Sales Trade Association (SASTA) wrote in a social media post published Monday.
