Japan to Boost Country’s Defense Capability

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has vowed to enhance the country’s defense capacity substantially in the coming years, citing Russia’s aggression in Ukraine as posing a risk to peace in the region.
“I myself have a strong sense of urgency that Ukraine today may be East Asia tomorrow,” said Kishida in delivering a keynote speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on Friday.
