China June Vehicle Sales Top Expectations as Covid Curbs Ease

China’s vehicle sales rebounded faster than the market anticipated in June, as Covid-19 lockdowns eased and government stimulus policies helped boost purchases, an industry association said.

Retail sales of passenger vehicles reached 1.4 million units from June 1 to 26, a 27% increase year-on-year and 37% jump from the same period last month, according to Wednesday data (link in Chinese) from the state-backed China Passenger Car Association (CPAC).
