(Bloomberg) — “Squid Game,” the most popular show in Netflix Inc. history, will compete for best drama series at the Emmy Awards in September, the first time a foreign-language program has been nominated for the biggest prize in the U.S. TV industry.

The South Korean drama about a deadly competition earned 14 nominations, and will compete for best drama against HBO’s “Succession” and “Euphoria,” among others.
