Macao to Reopen Casinos Saturday If Virus Conditions Allow

(Bloomberg) — Macao will reopen casinos from Saturday if virus conditions allow, as the gambling hub’s worst ever Covid-19 outbreak eases.
The city will allow the venues to resume operations if conditions, including relating to ventilation and disinfection, are appropriate, Ao Ieong U, secretary for social affairs and culture, said at a briefing on Wednesday. Other rules that must be followed include having 50% of normal staffing levels at work at the same time, and activities that require the removal of masks for extended periods of time — such as eating — must not be done in public.
