Cyberspace watchdog fines Didi $1.2 billion for violating data security laws

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) will fine Didi Global Inc. 8 billion yuan ($1.2 billion) for breaking national security and personal information protection laws, according to an official statement published on Thursday.
