Hong Kong Gets Nod for Reverse Quarantine Into Mainland

(Bloomberg) — Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee secured China’s support for a “reverse quarantine” program to increase travel into the mainland after two years of strict Covid curbs thwarted cross-border ties.

Officials from neighboring Guangdong province backed Lee’s plan for travelers to isolate first in Hong Kong and then enter China quarantine-free, the city leader said Thursday at a briefing about a virtual meeting with Guangdong authorities.
