Beijing Stock Exchange to Launch Its First Index

The Beijing Stock Exchange will introduce its first index to reflect the overall performance of the newly launched exchange focusing on small and midsize enterprises, the bourse said Friday.

The BSE 50 Index, comprising 50 large and liquid companies, set its base reading at 1,000 points as of April 29, 2022, the third national stock exchange on the Chinese mainland said. The BSE went into operation in November, and April completed six months of trading, according to people close to the matter.
