Tesla Smashes Its Monthly China Sales Record

What’s new: Tesla Inc. sold 83,135 China-made electric vehicles in wholesale last month, hitting a new monthly sales record as the country’s auto market has rebounded with the help of tax breaks and government subsidies, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on Sunday.
The number increased 7.8% from August, maintaining Tesla’s position as the second biggest vendor of new-energy vehicles (NEVs) in China, behind only BYD Co. Ltd.’s 200,973 car sales last month.
