HK Regulator Seeks Faster Access to Mainland Audit Papers

What’s new: Regulators in Hong Kong and Beijing are working to set up a “fast track” to share access to mainland audit working papers, according to Kelvin Wong, chairman of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) in Hong Kong.

The AFRC, Hong Kong’s audit regulator, is in discussions with China’s Ministry of Finance to streamline the process for gaining access to mainland audit documents under a 2019 agreement, Wong said.
