TuSimple debuted on Nasdaq in 2021 as the first autonomous-driving tech company to sell shares in the U.S.

Driverless truck startup TuSimple Holdings Inc. fired co-founder and CEO Hou Xiaodi following an internal investigation of the company’s links with a rival truck startup.

TuSimple’s board terminated Hou’s duties as CEO, president, chief technology officer and board chairman, according to a filing submitted Monday to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
